InnovaRx Global Health is seeking a dynamic and skilled
Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to join our innovative healthcare team in The
Gambia. This exciting opportunity is perfect for a public health professional
who is passionate about improving health outcomes and building robust health
systems.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced M&E professional to
design, implement, and manage comprehensive monitoring and evaluation systems
for our integrated healthcare programs. The successful candidate will work
across multiple health interventions focusing on both communicable diseases
(including HIV) and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes,
hypertension, and chronic disease management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement comprehensive M&E frameworks for integrated health programs
- Manage health data systems, including DHIS2 and electronic medical records
- Monitor program performance across multiple service delivery platforms
- Conduct evaluations and support evidence-based decision making
- Build the capacity of implementing teams on M&E best practices
- Prepare reports for stakeholders and program management
- Coordinate with health authorities and implementing partners
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in public health, Epidemiology, Health Systems, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in M&E within public health programming
- Advanced computer literacy (DHIS2, statistical software, database management)
- Experience with chronic disease management and integrated health systems
- Strong commitment to human rights and non-discriminatory practices
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with communicable disease programming
- Background in chronic disease epidemiology and prevention
- Experience with health data interoperability and system integration
- Knowledge of harm reduction and community health programming
- Previous work in Sub-Saharan Africa or similar settings
