If you want to increase your chances of getting this scholarship, students must ensure that you review and meet all the eligibility criteria.
- International applicants from any country other than Taiwan can apply for this fully funded scholarship.
- Applicants must be physically and mentally healthy.
- Awardees should not hold more than one scholarship at the same time.
- Students must fill out the online application form correctly, honestly, and completely, and submit all required documents for the application.
- Applicants for a master's must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution.
- Applicants for a PhD must hold a master's degree from a recognised university
Required Documents
Read below carefully to understand the documents that are required for this scholarship. We have listed the required documents below:
- Highest degree transcript:
- The transcript/mark sheet of your highest academic degree verified by the issuing office/university (One notarised copy of the translation in English or Chinese is necessary if the original transcript/mark sheet is not in English or Chinese).
- Attach photocopies of ALL transcripts/mark sheets of your highest academic degree, if the grades/scores of all semesters/years are not in a single transcript/mark sheet.
- A photocopy of the original graduation certificate of the highest academic degree
- The original graduation certificate of the highest academic degree should be verified by the issuing office/university (One notarised copy of the translation in English or Chinese is necessary if the original graduation certificate is not in English/Chinese).
- Applicants must submit an official certificate of their student status/expected graduation (English/Chinese) month issued by their current university, and a photocopy of the student ID card, if they are going to graduate soon.
- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree or above obtained from universities in Mainland China which are specifically recognised by the MOE are also required to submit the certificate of degree conferral.

- Bank statement:
- Applicants supported by their relatives must submit the bank statement along with the household registration/ birth certificate/ family book, which may prove the relationship of the relative.
- The amount showing on the bank statements or records of remittance, when the visa application is submitted, must be sufficient for at least a consecutive 6 months' living needs. The amount is based on 3,300 U.S. dollars.
- The scholarship certificate must indicate the duration and the exact amount of the scholarship.

- Applicants who come from countries where English is the official language.
