If you've been waiting for the ideal moment to begin or further your studies in engineering, technology, or vocational training, The Gambia University of Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (USET) offers a fantastic opportunity. Applications for the 2025/2026 academic year are now open, and the prospects are more thrilling than ever!

The Gambia University of Science, Engineering & Technology

One of the standout highlights this year is USET’s commitment to empowering women in male-dominated fields. Female students enrolling in technical and vocational courses in Engineering Technology and Construction Technology will receive a 30% discount on tuition fees. This initiative aims to encourage more women to pursue careers in these high-demand industries. Building on USET's commitment to empowering women in male-dominated fields, this initiative represents a significant step towards addressing the gender gap in engineering and technology sectors. By offering a 30% discount on tuition fees for female students in technical and vocational courses, USET is not only making education more accessible but also actively encouraging diversity in these critical industries. This financial incentive could be a game-changer for many aspiring female engineers and technologists who may have previously been deterred by financial constraints or societal expectations.

The impact of this initiative extends beyond individual students. By increasing female representation in engineering and technology programs, USET is fostering a more inclusive learning environment that benefits all students. Diverse perspectives in the classroom can lead to more innovative problem-solving and prepare students for the realities of a global workforce. Furthermore, as these female graduates enter the job market, they will serve as role models and mentors for future generations, potentially creating a ripple effect that could transform the industry landscape in The Gambia and beyond. This forward-thinking approach by USET not only aligns with global efforts to promote gender equality in STEM fields but also positions the university as a leader in educational innovation and social progress.
