The African Centre for Migration & Society (ACMS) at
Wits University is now accepting online applications for its 2026 Honours,
Masters, and PhD programs in Migration and Displacement, available for both
full-time and part-time study. Situated within the School of Social Sciences,
ACMS is a research center with an interdisciplinary and global focus,
influencing international discussions on migration and social change. Our
postgraduate courses are crafted to provide students with a thorough conceptual
framework to explore and assess a broad spectrum of issues related to migration
and displacement. Additionally, they furnish graduates with the practical
skills needed to comprehend, evaluate, and offer guidance on the causes,
effects, and management of migration in academic, governmental, business, and
non-profit sectors, where many of our alumni are currently employed. Students
are highly encouraged to engage in the Centre’s research initiatives and are
often invited to publish and present their work conducted as part of this
program.
Applications close on 31 October 2025.
